Stretch-n-Grow Fitness - Recent studies show that our society, through the comforts of technology and fast food, has enabled childhood obesity to reach epidemic proportions. Kids R Kids knows how important physical activity is to any child’s development, and that is why our center includes a bi-monthly fitness class. We stress the importance of fair play, team cooperation, and physical well-being as well as refining hand-eye cordination, balance, and agility.
Opus One Music - These classes provide children an enriching music experience that reinforces positive behavior, builds self-esteen, strengthens cooperative spirit, and develops the fundamental auditory and rhythmic skills required to stimulate development and a deep appreciation for the humanities.
Boca Beth Spanish - This class has been developed to teach basic Spanish words and phrases using music, bilingual lyrics, books, pictures, and videos. They teach to the whole child using the Total Physical Response method. The curriculum includes lessons on: Greetings and Responses, Colors, Numbers, Animals, Food, Body Parts and Weather.
Bookmobile - The Bookmobile is a traveling library, sponsored by the Irving Public Library. It comes every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. This experience allows children a chance to get excited about books and reading by allowing them to check out books that can be taken home and shared with mom and dad. If interested, please stop by the front desk for a library card application. (Not limited to Irving residents.)
